The Japanese queens of speed metal, HAGANE is a young and upcoming metal act with a vibrant image that belies their hard-hitting sound. This all-girl band combines high-tone vocals with powerful instrumentation to create energetic and harmonious metal music.

Following single releases and relentless live performances, HAGANE launched their first mini-album „Episode 0“ in June 2020, followed by their first full album „Code ; 9021“ in August 2022. The „Code ; 9021 TOUR 2022“ that followed the album release was a success with all shows selling out. In the midst of their accelerating momentum, three out of five members abruptly left the band in May, 2023.

Despite the concerns of the media and fans, the band made a spectacular comeback in 2024 with the addition of new members, vocalist Nagi and drummer JUNNA. Shortly after their comeback the band released „Life Goes on!“ which was initially a digital EP but was later made available as a physical CD in response to high demand from the fans. Their first show as a four piece group at the Shibuya REX on June 27, 2024, sold out immediately after tickets went on sale. This prompted the scheduling of an additional performance on July 16, 2024, at the Yokohama ReNY BETA, which also sold out. In September of the same year, they embarked on their first solo tour across Japan’s three major cities, Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya with all shows sold out. HAGANE has released their newest album „Top of the Tower“ in April 2025 followed by a nation wide tour in Japan. HAGANE is also confirmed to perform their very first show in Europe at the EPIC FEST 2026 in Denmark, followed by a second show at the ROCK IMPERIUM FESTIVAL in July, and are aiming to add more international shows in 2026!

Japan is known for their numerous female metal bands. But HAGANE is a band that undeniably stands out in the female metal scene with their world class musical skills. Sakura and JUNNA have showcased their talent from a very young age on their YouTube channels with JUNNA having more than 200,000 subscribers and Sakura having close to 100,000 subscribers. HAGANE definitely has the potential to not only succeed in Japan, but to find a spot in the international metal scene in the very near future!
